We have been in communication with NARPM® National. They have been working diligently to be able to offer the 2 National courses (that were going to be offered this year at the 2020 Southern States Conference) in a virtual manner. Therefore, we are STILL be offering these 2 courses, but the dates are different. Please see details below on how to register for these classes.


Both courses are perfect for anyone trying to get more education in the property management business, as well as for anyone working toward their RMP® or MPM® designations.

These require a separate registration through NARPM® National.

MARKETING FOR RESIDENTIAL PROPERTY MANAGEMENT

Are you spending your marketing dollars wisely? Do you know how many clients and customers your marketing efforts are bringing you? Are you unsure of HOW to market to your client and customer base? All of these questions (and more!) will be addressed in Marketing for Residential Property Management. Whether you are new to the business or a seasoned pro, this course will help you hone your knowledge and skills in the area of marketing.

In this course you will develop a mission statement (or refine yours if you have one) and decide upon a related marketing goal to help guide your business. You will examine branding and the importance of knowing how your clients and customers think, feel, and behave. Time will be spent delving into various forms of media and advertising channels. Finally, you will learn about the importance of tracking and measuring outcomes that are key to your marketing efforts!

SCOTT ABERNATHY

MPM®, RMP®, GRI

Scott Abernathy began his property management career in 1989 while still serving in the United States Air Force, by purchasing his first triplex. While attending Middle Tennessee State University, where he graduated with a Bachelors of Science Degree with a minor in Real Estate, he continued to grow his inventory of rental properties while getting his Tennessee Real Estate license in 1993. Mr. Abernathy sold real estate for 13 years for Coldwell Banker where he also began managing properties for other clients then just himself.


In 2007 Mr. Abernathy was hired to be the managing broker of Prudential Real Estate in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Prudential Real Estate did not survive The Great Recession, so eventually he opened Reliant Property Management in 2010 and then franchised with Property Management Inc (PMI) in 2018. Today Scott owns two PMI offices, PMI Professionals in the Nashville Market and PMI of Memphis.
